This welcome retreat isn't just a diner, it's a New York-style diner. That means you can expect all the marvelous omelets, skillets, deli sandwiches, heroes, burgers and pastas for which the burroughs of Manhattan are famous. Raved one fan, "Great food and great value. A piece of New York in Valrico, Florida!" Meanwhile, another happy camper wrote, "The service was quick and friendly. The breakfast was perfect - hot, ample portions, with prices that are competitive anywhere in this area. And the owner stopped at our table to be sure all was well. I'LL BE BACK!" So will you after digging into The Diner's all-day Breakfast Specials, Three-Egg Omelets, Pancakes, Belgian Waffles or French Toast. But while this hometown staple opens at 6:30 a.m. sharp 7 days a week, breakfast is by no means the only meal of the day to which this eatery devotes itself. The Grilled Rubenstein (corned beef, sauerkraut and Swiss on grilled rye) and classic King Club (triple-decker ham, turkey and bacon) are works of art, but so are the 8-oz. Black Angus Burgers, Brooklyn Gyros, and authentic all-beef Sabrett Dogs. But there's more, including Philly Cheese Steaks, Heroes, and a Chicken Parmesan dinner of which even Tony Soprano would approve. P.S. Outdoor café seating is availabe, as is beer and wine.
