CONGRATULATIONS! Hapa Grill won the HONOLULU ADVERTISER's Ilima Award for "Best Casual Restaurant" of 2009! That means you owe it to yourself to find out why this eatery has everybody talking. Hapa Grill, which opened in July 2005 in the Marketplace at Kapolei, serves up popular items including teriyaki beef, hamburger steak and mochiko chicken. Hapa Grill's diverse menu includes new dishes created by the kitchen staff that are sure to delight your palate. Customer favorites like the "I love you like a mango" salad, sizzling pulehu rib eye and fried noodles with teriyaki beef are always outstanding, fresh and delicious. Fried ice cream and mom's brownie sundae are the perfect endings to a meal here. Chef Kim Sakai has added flair to the everyday offerings and will feature both daily and weekly specials that are already drawing rave reviews. Hapa Grill has earned a reputation for its family atmosphere and friendly service. In October 2008, it expanded by adding a "special event" room that seats up to 50 people. The room has been used for birthday parties, baby showers, meetings and more, and the restaurant will even cater for parties large and small.
