I've been to Cactus Pear many times over the years. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant, however with so many Mexican or Tex/Mex restaurants around this is not what I'd call the one I have to always go to. Food is ok, not as good as it used to be.

I called 15 minutes before going to their Kenwood Road location and they said that they might close early if business was slow. That was 2 1/2 hours before they were scheduled to close and it took about 20 minutes more to arrive there. They were closed!! Part of our party was on a tight time frame and could not go to their second location on Jefferson Ave. We did go to the second location which was another 20 minutes or so away and we purchased the food for take out. It was excellent. This was the second time we found the Kenwood Road location closed when we thought it would be open.
