While recently named one of the city's "Top 25 Restaurants" by JACKSONVILLE MAGAZINE, J.F. Mix of THE FLORIDA TIMES-UNION was equally impressed. In his review entitled "Step Inside the Elegant World of North Beach Bistro," he applauded the "understated elegance that announces the food is going to be upscale but the experience casual." Mix continued, "Because the room doesn't say 'you're at the beach,' its menu of braises and chops and steaks begins to make sense..." Finally, calling North Beach "a special occasion place," the review conclued, "...when the occasion calls for it, this restaurant is designed for that job." In point of fact, thanks to the $3 - $5 Tapas Menu and entrees under $20, this cutting-edge cuisine is available to guests at a variety of affordable price points. The tapas lineup includes delights like Bistro Fish Bites, Shaved Prime Rib Sliders and Risotto Croquettes. Meanwhile, the dinner menu presents small plates of Asian Roasted Pork Noodles and Coq au Vin, along with entrees of Crispy Fried Local Wholefish, Veal Osso Buco, Filet Mignon, and Fisherman's Stew. Rest assured, the wine list is entirely worthy of the food. Private parties welcome.
